SONGZIO Completes Its FW25 Collection with 'Piccadill'

SONGZIO unveiled its 2025 F/W collection, 'Piccadill', at this season's Paris Fashion Week. The collection carries a bold narrative in which the opulent aesthetics of the Baroque era meet a contemporary sensibility.

At its heart lies a historical decorative element known as the 'piccadill'. Once an ornamental collar that signified rank and privilege, the piccadill is reborn through SONGZIO's interpretation as a symbol of modern defiance and avant-garde spirit.

Built on generous volume and exaggerated silhouettes and layered with varied details and textures, the garments strike a balance between precision and experimentation. Deep tones, striking colour, hand-painting and embroidery push the artistry even further.

Weighty, darkly majestic blacks, greys and browns sit beside vivid reds, vermilion, yellows and greens, holding onto a Baroque sense of splendour that is hard to look away from, don't you think?
