Filip Custic is a contemporary artist who moves between photography and performance, sculpture and video. At the center of his work there is always the body. He attaches screens and mirrors to it and casts another face over his own. Mirrors and circles, gleaming metals, symbols borrowed from old master paintings pile up on top, layer upon layer. And he keeps asking.

Who are we, and where are we going? Still, he is no pessimist about technology. Custic says it can be a tool for celebrating the many ways a person can be. The first image, surrounded by dozens of tablets and screens, shows that belief in action. The screen is not a tool of fragmentation but of amplification.

Lately he has stepped back from lavish maximalism to experiment with sparer images. Where the ornament has been stripped away, he sets down his own body, just as it is. The third image, built from mirrors and black panels, reveals that shift. The body becomes an exhibition space, and the structure stays minimal. The small frame hanging on his chest belongs to that current.

In the work where a face is projected onto a face, facemapping technology is deployed. The digital mask moves in real time, following his expression. When his eyes waver and his lips tremble, the projected face wavers too. It resembles the other self we meet on screens every day.

Custic's work experiments with the idea that technology can expand identity, not erase it. Screens and mirrors, devices and body mix, and the question grows larger. Is the other self you meet inside the screen real, or is it ornament?
