Capsule Dreamscapes #01: Exploring the surreality of dreams in Seoul.

Capsule Dreamscapes, the first exhibition in the Dreamscapes series curated by the innovative curation platform Capsule for Porsche, begins in Korea.

Featuring leading artists from Korea and abroad, the project takes the form of installations, workshops, talks, and listening sessions to present its themes: the potential of dreams beyond reality, and the future of craftsmanship.

The limited-edition electric sports car Taycan Turbo K-Edition, a symbol of forward-looking technology and design, made its first appearance here.

For this exhibition, which explores the surreality of dreams by integrating Porsche's innovative design and engineering, we introduce two artists who spoke briefly with <PAP Magazine>.

The versatile American digital artist Ezra Miller, and the Seoul-based design studio niceworkshop.

Ezra Miller

Ezra Miller is a versatile New York-based digital artist who creates infinitely, in real time, using cutting-edge graphic programming.

For this Dreamscapes, he captured the landscape moving past the window from inside a Porsche Taycan. The footage is rendered as a dreamlike, hypnotic real-time generative work, and its surreal panorama explores the interplay of speed, form, and futurism.

Q. Please introduce yourself.

A. Hello. I'm Ezra Miller, a digital artist living in New York.

Q. During this art week you presented work under the overarching theme of 'Dreamscapes.' Could you briefly introduce the piece you showed at 'Capsule Dreamscapes'?

A. My piece is called 'Halving Motion.' I made it from shots of the scenes passing by while riding in a Porsche Taycan, then transformed them using AI. The idea behind the piece is grounded in a dreamlike aesthetic. Because AI has a tone of its own, I thought it was a really good medium for this work; it carries this fantastical quality. On top of that, the movement of the scenes captured from the car came through convincingly, almost like reality.

Q. What led you to take part in this project?

A. I was invited to join, and I had never been to Seoul before. I was truly grateful for the chance to show my work here, and to present a piece made with this Porsche. It's such a beautiful car; I got to enjoy driving it in Berlin last month, and it was a really wonderful experience.

Q. Finally, as an artist, is there a 'Dream' you want to fulfill?

A. The dream I want to fulfill as an artist is to keep making art for the rest of my life. I don't have any particular plan beyond that. I just take inspiration and make the work I want to see. That's the dream, and I'm simply continuing to do it.

niceworkshop.

niceworkshop is a Seoul-based design studio that embodies the essence of contemporary craftsmanship and builds a distinctive design language across a range of projects.

For this exhibition, it collaborates with the upcycling brand FORMAT to create a bespoke environment that offers a tangible connection between conceptual art and the subconscious.

Q. Please introduce yourself.

A. Hello. I'm Oh Hyun-seok of niceworkshop.
