Ivorian designer Assoké Félix LOADJRO has unveiled a new body of work that translates Abidjan's instinctive dress codes into deconstructed tailoring. Fragmented silhouettes, spontaneous prints, and texture-driven surfaces operate not as garments that simply cover, but as a design language that questions the body itself. His practice explores the intersection where the street-level intuition of Abidjan meets contemporary fashion discourse.
In this collection, LOADJRO prominently features pregnant models, foregrounding bodies in transition. By centering reality over idealized form and process over completion, he disrupts the conventional standards of beauty long assumed by fashion. Each look functions as a character generated from the collision between cultural memory and modern design vocabulary, visually translating the identity of Abidjan.
LOADJRO's work moves beyond Western-centric fashion narratives, positioning the creativity and improvisation unique to African cities as the core engine of his design.
