SUCRE is one of Tokyo's most experimental nail salons. Founded in a small Kawagoe space around 12 years ago, the salon now operates locations in Shinjuku and Harajuku. Each nail artist at SUCRE brings a distinct approach, working with abstract forms, metallic details, sculptural objects, and irregular textures.

SUCRE has been credited with pushing Japan's nail scene beyond kawaii-centric designs toward more abstract and experimental aesthetics. The salon draws inspiration from unexpected sources: post-apocalyptic landscapes, ecology, galaxies, and contemporary art. Its range spans both bold and restrained designs.

Every artist maintains an independent aesthetic. Some arrange metallic fragments across the nail surface, while others paint abstract compositions with organic curves. Three-dimensional work that resembles sculpture is common. This marks a shift from the era when Japanese nail art was defined solely by cuteness and precision.
