Nicolas Ghesquière Presents Louis Vuitton Cruise 2027 in New York

Louis Vuitton unveiled its Cruise 2027 collection at The Frick Collection in New York. Presented under the creative direction of Nicolas Ghesquière, the show was more than just a fashion presentation—it marked the official start of a three-year cultural partnership between Louis Vuitton and The Frick Collection. Throughout the collection, contrasting elements such as Paris and New York, uptown and downtown, and classicism and futurism collided with tension, creating a unique narrative.

The collection's starting point was Keith Haring's graphic art. Inspired by drawings left by Haring on an actual 1930s Louis Vuitton trunk, his iconic graphic elements were reinterpreted across denim, leather, and knitwear. Sculptural leather silhouettes, power shoulders, quilted textures, and ruffle details were combined with an electric color palette to create a dramatic atmosphere.

What stood out was Ghesquière's signature time-traveling styling. The presentation moved fluidly between the retro moods of the 1960s and 1980s while maintaining a futuristic sensibility, once again proving his free-spirited and theatrical approach. By translating the multi-layered identity of New York into fashion language, this collection opened a new chapter in the narrative Ghesquière has been expanding at Louis Vuitton.
