Jean Paul Gaultier FW26: Doll Motifs and Exaggerated Silhouettes

Jean Paul Gaultier unveiled a provocative and humorous Fall/Winter 2026 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Creative director Duran Lantink expanded the house's signature sense of strangeness through exaggerated cuts, bold materials, and clashing patterns that formed a distinct Gaultier universe. The central theme of the season was doll-like motifs that reimagined the human body in imaginative dimensions.

Following the divisive nude print debut, Duran Lantink translated doll joints and structures into fashion, pushing bodily symbolism into surreal territory. On the runway, Alex Consani appeared in a striking smoking gown that blurred the boundaries between eveningwear and tailoring. A color palette based on white and beige emphasized the artificial textures of dolls, while geometric lines reinterpreted the body as sculpture.

Oscillating between absurdity and elegance, the collection carried Jean Paul Gaultier's rebellious legacy forward while stretching it to new structural extremes. Duran Lantink successfully reinterpreted Gaultier's DNA of gender fluidity and bodily questioning through a contemporary visual language, delivering the house's identity to a new generation.
