Hongik University's Fashion Design Department presented its 2025 runway show, 'FABRIC: The Language of Touch,' showcasing the craftsmanship and sensory approach of Korean design. The show explored how the art of weaving becomes reinterpreted as a new language of fashion, tracing the journey from fingertips to fabric and examining how tactile experiences are communicated through textiles.

The runway featured pieces with dramatic silhouettes utilizing fur and rich textures. Particularly striking was a voluminous gray fur dress that visualized the tactile experience created by artisan hands, completed with a veil headpiece and mesh details that bridged traditional and contemporary aesthetics. These garments transcended mere clothing to express the inherent rhythm and soul of fabric itself.

Each year, Hongik University uses its fashion week platform to unveil experimental work by emerging designers, solidifying its position as a leader in Korean fashion education. This year's theme, 'The Language of Touch,' carries a message about revaluing physical sensation and handcraft in the digital age.

PAP Magazine documented the show on video, creating an opportunity to introduce the identity and creativity of Korean design to the international stage. The collection demonstrated how sensory engagement and material innovation can converge to create compelling fashion narratives.
