Es Devlin Asks What Presence Means in Bukchon

Es Devlin, the stage designer behind shows for U2, Beyoncé, and Adele, has opened her first solo exhibition in Korea, Third Poem: Es Devlin, Coming Home, at Futura Seoul in Bukchon. Past books, mirrors, and light, and finally sitting face to face with a stranger to draw each other's portraits, visitors pass bodily through the sense of belonging to one another. As the artist puts it, consciousness resides not in the mind but in the body. It is an experience available only to those standing in that space. The exhibition runs through January 17, 2027.
