There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from constantly performing a version of yourself for others: to be beautiful, available, productive and pleasant. Inspired by Ottessa Moshfegh's My Year of Rest and Relaxation, this fashion editorial explores the desire to step away from these expectations. To withdraw, to stop performing, and to refuse the constant need to be seen, wanted and useful. Rest becomes an act of refusal—a quiet form of rebellion against the roles imposed on women.
