FLOWERS

By PAP Magazine Editorial

On a plain wooden table, yellow roses and violet anemones tangle in a clear glass vase — less bouquet than foraged assemblage. Cobalt-blue petals jostle against lime-green carnations and spiky filler greens, compressing an entire spring garden into one vessel. The soft grey curtain backdrop neutralises the surroundings, allowing the saturated palette to anchor every frame. Close-up shots reveal the papery folds of ranunculus blooms and the unruly stems visible through water, a studied casualness far removed from florist precision. Below, coral dahlias and lavender stock overlap in a colour collision that reads almost like intentional blocking. Though this series is floral still life rather than fashion narrative, the chromatic clashes and textural contrasts function as their own form of editorial statement — sensory, unpolished, direct.
