Deep burgundy ruffles envelop the face in a sculptural frame, their weight and texture recalling the tactile density of antique tapestry. Circular cutouts and black piping trace the garment's edges, introducing structural tension against the layered, organic volume of the ruffles that radiate around the visage. Against a neutral grey backdrop, skin remains luminous and serene, while lips stained in the same burgundy hue create chromatic continuity. Hair slicked back and lighting stripped to essentials funnel all attention toward the exaggerated silhouette of fabric and the shadows it carves. Collaborators Solanta Li, Liuwen Wang, Danielle, and Yinzi Xie translate sensory touch into visual language, capturing the moment when garment becomes architecture.
