Hypnagogia — Cover

Hypnagogia

Caught in the liminal drift between sleep and waking, where childhood motifs resurface as uncanny totems. Striped pajama shirts, felted appliqué swans and rabbits, pleated collars that belong to a nursery rhyme—all rendered in technicolor sincerity against a void-black ground. The makeup is smudged, the silhouettes naïve yet deliberate, as if pulled from a fever dream where innocence and estrangement blur. This is fashion filtered through hypnagogia: tender, unsettling, impossible to look away from.

FAQ

Who shot the Hypnagogia editorial?

Hypnagogia was photographed by Julie Michelet, with Pierre Dasse-Galliano as casting director and stylist. Charlyne assisted styling, Modjhere handled hair, Justine Sirabella did makeup, and models Noa, Sam, Lucas, Anas, Sophie, and Jang appeared.

What is the concept of the Hypnagogia editorial?

Hypnagogia explores the pre-hypnotic threshold between waking and sleep. Starting from the unstable border where hallucinations and sleep paralysis occur, characters act as guides leading consciousness into dreamscapes and nightmares. Black backgrounds symbolize the unconscious, where beauty and anxiety intermingle.
