Yves has released the music video for her new single "Hysteric." Arriving as a double single with "Adam," it's her first new music in about seven months. "Hysteric" loops a pluck bass over a dark, seductive deep-house groove, turning restless anxiety into deep, simmering tension. If "Hysteric" is the anxiety you're living through now, "Adam" traces the afterimage it leaves once it passes. The two tracks each touch different layers of emotion in their own way.

Both songs will appear on her fifth EP, Cute & Anxiety, out November 20. Across five tracks, including the focus track "Polaroid," love and energy, excuses and bad courage intertwine. The EP as a whole will trace the blurry line between cuteness and anxiety. The title itself places two extremes side by side. Cute & Anxiety is a name that holds the exact emotional coordinates where Yves stands now.

This year alone, Yves' trajectory has been relentless. From collaborations with PinkPantheress and Lolo Zouaï to a print cover for NME, and a tour spanning Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Her radius of activity keeps expanding. Through it all, Yves has been stacking layers onto her musical world. The spectrum she's shown since her solo pivot refuses to be pinned down by a single identity.

In the music video, Yves moves through darkness. Red hair, pale lighting, unstable movements. The lyrics of "Hysteric" repeat: "Am I hysteric? Can't escape it." It's a direction that compresses, both visually and sonically, the moment of being trapped inside an emotion with no way out. At the opposite end of cute and bubbly imagery, Yves reveals another face.

Which face will Yves show this time? Between cute and anxious, wait for the next chapter of a deeper Yves.
