Wearing Glass: A Collection Born from Reflection

유리의 이중성, 감정을 입다

Amid the luminous shards of glass at Tehran's Museum of Glassware, designer Sara Jamshidilarijani saw more than her reflection—she saw her presence. That quietly vivid moment became the spark for her collection, Reflection. "I want to be seen, but I'm also afraid of being judged," she says, articulating a dual feeling that is both universal and deeply personal.

Like the materiality of glass itself, the collection explores the delicate tension between exposure and concealment through fashion. Silhouettes echo the unpredictability of glass: shattered, swollen, or perfectly intact. Each piece holds a different emotional state, quietly embedded in the folds and forms. By pressing laser-cut polypropylene sheets onto jersey fabric, Jamshidilarijani achieved a three-dimensional texture that moves with the body while maintaining structure—soft yet strong, like glass that bends without breaking.

Now preparing for an upcoming internship, she reflects on her creative philosophy: "I'd rather create at my own pace than rush." Reflection continues to mirror her rhythm, one light and one shadow at a time. The collection invites us to wear both the transparency and vulnerability of emotion, a testament to fashion's power to hold contradictions in balance.
