The collection opens with "The Magpie," featuring an accordion skirt constructed from 80 pattern pieces. The dynamic magpie print unfolds like a zoetrope, complemented by vintage lace and folk-inspired headpieces that add ethereal elegance. Fuller's reference to magpies as "devil's birds" reflects historical perceptions of women's voices as forbidden, transforming the garment into a symbolic reclamation.
