A mountain hideaway from Rick Owens and Moncler?
Rick Owens and Moncler have unveiled a distinctive living project: a demountable mountain shelter inspired by the alpine cabin of Michèle Lamy's family in the French Alps.
The shelter was developed with Hugh Broughton Architects, well known in the field of extreme-environment structures, drawing on advanced technology usable in remote locations.
Temperature control, self-levelling technology, solar roof panels and a wind turbine mean you can escape the cold with no shortage of energy. It can also sustain a self-sufficient life, with a system that melts snow for water and detachable waste-storage tanks.
