Decades of Martin Margiela's closely guarded personal archive are finally surfacing. Organized by Maurice Auction and Kerry Taylor Auctions, the sale presents over 200 drawings, photographs, garments, and objects dating from 1984 to 2008. It marks the first time one of fashion's most elusive collections has entered the public market.
The centerpiece of the auction is a selection of Hermès pieces from the personal collection of Margiela's mother, Léa Bouchet. These include garments and accessories gifted directly by the designer during his tenure as Creative Director of Hermès womenswear from 1997 to 2003. The offering provides a rare dual lens into both his personal life and creative vision.
