BLACKPINK's LISA has unveiled the music video for 'Tarantino,' a track from her new solo album. The visual pays homage to Quentin Tarantino's cult classic Kill Bill, with LISA transforming into the film's iconic protagonist, The Bride. From the blonde wig to the black martial-arts silhouette and meticulously recreated Japanese-revenge-thriller setting, this homage goes far beyond a simple reference. The visuals are so cinematic that the line between music video and movie blurs entirely.
LISA chose 'Tarantino' as the title track for this solo release. The song's name itself is the director's. Iconic Kill Bill scenes are reinterpreted throughout the video. Action choreography, sword performance, and a revenge narrative are compressed into three minutes.
The blonde transformation is another standout moment of this comeback. Instead of the original's yellow tracksuit, LISA opted for a black silhouette. The color changed, but the sword, the stance, and the avenger's gaze were enough to convey the reference. This is homage as reinterpretation, not replication.
The music video rapidly accumulated views on YouTube shortly after release. Fans reacted to LISA's action performance, the blonde look, and the cinematic direction. It's available now on the LLOUD Official YouTube channel. How did you read LISA's Kill Bill homage?
