Korean fashion brand LEJE has revealed its vision for the 2026 Academy Awards stage. Designer EJAE's creation draws inspiration from the ceremonial court attire of the Korean Empire from over a century ago, harmoniously blending traditional Korean aesthetics with contemporary sensibility.
At the heart of the design lies the Mugunghwa—Korea's national flower symbolizing eternity and resilience. Encircling the bloom is the Dangchomun motif, a traditional pattern representing the flow of life and prosperity, layering Korean symbolism with profound depth. The silhouette, rendered in pure white and finished with gold-gilded bronze ornaments reminiscent of ancient Korean crowns, metaphorically expresses a narrative of light and presence.
Notably, every metal detail was handcrafted by a Korean master artisan specializing in traditional metalwork known as Duseokjang. This elevates the garment beyond mere opulence, conveying a philosophical message: that shining moments are not instant achievements, but are shaped through time, perseverance, and walking one's own path with quiet determination.
