The second frame shifts to a blood-red ground where the pierrot reappears—this time in a cream pleated ruff collar top cinched by a black corset belt, lower body barely clad except for playing-card graphics adhered along the garter line. The gesture of fingers half-hiding the mouth, the recurrence of spade symbols, and the rim-lit silhouettes all evoke a space between carnival sideshow and decadent salon. Horror here is not hysteria but calculated restraint, each prop and posture calibrated to disturb without spectacle.
