We edit, perform, and shrink ourselves in the hope of being accepted and understood. This beauty editorial follows that distortion through four stages. It begins with a fractured reflection, moves through exhausting performance, becomes an unrecognizable mask, and finally breaks free. A journey back to the internal peace that arrives when we stop performing for approval and simply exist as we are.
