얼굴은 가장 본능적인 마스크다. 첫 번째 이미지는 전체 피부를 강렬한 오렌지 톤으로 물들이고, 눈꺼풀과 속눈썹까지 붉게 타오르는 색조를 겹친 뒤 입술에만 은빛 메탈릭 텍스처를 두껍게 발라 대비를 극대화했다. 마치 디지털 필터가 아닌 실제 색소가 표피를 덮은 듯한 느낌인데, 부드럽게 확산된 빛은 윤곽을 지우고 얼굴을 하나의 평면 캔버스로 만든다. 두 번째 이미지는 투명한 비닐 소재로 얼굴 전체를 감싸 숨결조차 차단하는 듯한 긴장을 연출하는데, 주름진 플라스틱 표면이 빛을 반사하며 피부와 소재 사이의 경계를 모호하게 흐린다. 눈을 감은 채 입을 살짝 벌린 표정은 저항보다는 수용을, 가림보다는 드러냄을 암시하며, 마스크가 곧 정체성이 되는 순간을 포착한다. 이 시리즈는 뷰티를 보호막이 아닌 변형 도구로 제시하며, 얼굴이라는 표면 위에서 펼쳐지는 색과 질감의 실험을 통해 정체성의 유동성을 시각화한다.

The face becomes its own most primal mask. The first image saturates the entire complexion in a vivid orange wash, layering burnt-red pigment across the eyelids and lashes while the lips are coated in thick metallic silver that catches the light like foil. The effect is not of digital manipulation but of actual pigment staining the epidermis, as diffused illumination erases contours and flattens the face into a single chromatic plane. In the second frame, a transparent plastic film wraps the entire head, creasing and clinging to the skin in a way that suggests breath held and identity suspended. The wrinkled vinyl surface refracts light unevenly, blurring the boundary between epidermis and synthetic membrane, while the parted lips and closed eyes convey not struggle but acceptance — a quiet surrender to the act of concealment that paradoxically reveals. This series positions beauty not as adornment but as transformation tool, exploring how colour saturation and material layering on the facial surface can visualise the fluidity of identity itself.
