Q. 자기 소개.

A. 안녕하세요, 미란이입니다! 반갑습니다.

 

Q. 평소 본업 잘하는 건 알고 있었지만 촬영장에서도 흘러넘치는 매력에 감탄을 금치 못했어요. 이번 촬영은 어땠나요?

A. 재미있었어요. 촬영은 늘 그렇듯 재미있어야 결과물도 잘 나오는 것 같아요.

 

Q. 이번 촬영에서 ‘누구에게도 뺏길 수 없는 자신의 영혼인 마이크’를 지키기 위해 고군분투하는 모습을 보여 주셨죠. 실제로 미란이 님에게 뺏길 수 없는 영혼 같은 존재는 무엇인가요?

A. 건강한 생각들이요. 살아갈 때 가장 필요한 존재인 것 같아요.

 

Q. CCTV는 그런 존재를 빼앗기지 않기 위한 하나의 장치로 보이더군요. 영혼과 같은 존재를 내 안에서 지키고자 했던 경험 있어요?

A. 지키기 위해 노력했던 경험은 너무 많아요. 건강한 생각을 지키기 어려운 세상이잖아요. 제가 조금 흔들릴 때면 제가 사랑하는 사람들을 찾아가기도 하고, 가장 좋아하는 드라마를 보기도 하고 그러다보면 또 어느샌가 지켜지고 있더라고요.

 

Q. 이번 촬영에서 소화한 스타일링이 평소 스타일과 비슷했는지도 궁금해요. 다른 점이 있다면 어떤 것이 달랐어요?

A. 스포티한 매력의 엄브로의 룩에 페미닌한 스커트나 신발을 매치하는 스타일링은 제 평소 스타일이랑 잘 맞았던 것 같아요. 다른 점은 자주 시도하지 않았던 라인이 들아간 옷을 입었을 때 신선하다고 느꼈습니다!

 

Q. 인스타그램 피드를 보고 있으면 패션에 대한 애정이 남다르다고 느껴져요. 의류학과를 졸업했다는 것도 놀라웠고요. 패션과 음악, 미란이에게 어떤 의미를 가지나요?

A. 패션과 음악은 참 비슷한 점이 많은 것 같아요. 그래서 둘 다 사랑하는 거 같고요. 나에게 잘 어울리는 것을 찾는 게 중요하죠. 그래서인지 두 분야를 탐구할수록 결국은 제 모습이 되어 가는 걸 보면 너무 재미있어요. 저의 음악과 패션은 그냥 제 자신 그 자체예요.

 

Q. 활동명인 미란이는 ‘명탐정 코난’에서 따온 것으로 알고 있어요. 여전히 만화를 좋아하고 있나요? 최근 관심사는 어떤 거예요?

A. 애니메이션은 여전히 좋아해서 자주 봐요. 코난은 요즘 안 보지만요. 요즘은 ‘웰빙’에 관심이 많아요. 어떻게 하면 건강하고 재미있게 살 수 있을까에 대한 방법을 찾고 있어요. 그래서 저번주에는 런닝머신 대신 한강을 뛰었어요. 완전히 색다르더라고요.

 

Q. 음악적인 영감도 관심사에서 비롯되는 경우가 많나요? 곡 작업을 할 때 가장 영향을 받는 것이 있다면요?

A. 영감을 많이 받고 있어요. 어떤 것에 관심이 있느냐에 따라 생각이 바뀌거든요. 그래서 요즘에는 센 전자 음악은 잘 안 들어요. 재지하고 컴한 노래들을 자주 듣죠. 결국 이런 것들이 모여서 제 음악에 영향을 주는 것 같아요.

 

Q. 아티스트로서 미란이는 세상에 어느 정도 보여진 것 같아요?

A. 10%! 아직 보여드리고 싶은 게 너무 많아요.

 

Q. 수많은 발매곡 중 가장 애착이 가는 곡과 그 이유도 궁금해요.

A. ‘Daisy’요. 제가 쓴 가사지만 다시 봐도 참 잘 썼다 생각해요. 많은 분들에게 이 노래가 힘이 되었다는 이야기를 많이 들었어요. 노래를 만드는 사람으로서 이만큼 좋은 칭찬이 있을까요? 이런 말을 들을 때마다 항상 감사하죠. Daisy는 제게도 듣는 분들에게도 뭉클한 마음을 주는 곡인 것 같아 참 애착이 가요.

 

Q. 미란이를 사랑해 주는 사람은 어떤 사람들인가요?

A. 따뜻한 사람들이요. 저를 사랑해 주시는 분들의 메시지나 응원을 들으면 어쩜 이렇게 따뜻할 수가 있을까 늘 생각했거든요. 그래서인지 좋은 노래로 늘 보답해드리고 싶어요. 제가 더 겸손해지고 열심히 하는 이유죠.

 

Q. 이 자리를 빌어 사랑하는 사람들에게 한 마디해 주세요.

A. 여러분들 덕분에 좋은 음악을 내고 싶고, 좋은 사람이 되고 싶어요. 저의 원동력이랍니다. 부끄럽지만 너무 감사해요. 그리구 사랑합니다.

 

Q. 요즘 가장 많이 하는 생각이 있다면요?

A. 어떤 앨범을 만들까에 대한 것이 최대의 고민이에요. 앨범 작업을 하는 중인데 여전히 어렵네요.

 

Q. 평소 스트레스를 어떻게 극복해요?

A. 가장 친한 친구들을 만나요. 중학교 때부터 친구들인데요. 가만히 있어도 너무 재미있어요. 제 보물들이에요.

 

Q. 다가오는 여름에 대한 계획이 있나요? 어떤 여름을 보낼 계획이에요?

A. 여름 휴가 계획은 없지만 앨범 계획이 있어서 엄청 바빠질 것 같아요. 뜨거운 여름이 됐으면 좋겠네요.

 

Q. 마지막으로 미란이가 아닌 김윤진으로서 끝까지 지키고 싶은 신념이 있어요?

A. 늘 저 자신에게 떳떳한 사람이 되고 싶어요. 핑계 없이 내가 선택한 것에 후회 없이 그냥 잘 살기! 가장 어렵지만 꼭 지키고 싶은 제 신념입니다.

Q. Introduce yourself.

A. Hello, I'm Mirani! Nice to meet you.

 

Q. I knew you were good at your main job, but I couldn't help but admire your overflowing charm on set. How was this shoot?

A. It was fun. I think shoots should always be fun to produce good results.

 

Q. In this shoot, you showed struggling to protect 'your soul that cannot be taken away by anyone.' What is something like your soul that cannot be taken away from you in real life?

A. Healthy thoughts. It seems like the most necessary presence in life.

 

Q. CCTV seemed like a device to prevent such a presence from being taken away. Have you had any experiences trying to protect a presence like your soul within you?

A. I've had many experiences trying to protect it. It's a challenging world to keep healthy thoughts. When I feel a bit shaken, I sometimes go to the people I love, watch my favorite drama, and before I know it, I find myself being protected again.

 

Q. Did the styling you pulled off in this shoot resemble your usual style? If there was a difference, what was it?

A. Styling the sporty charm of Umbro with feminine skirts or shoes seemed to match my usual style well. The difference was that I felt fresh when wearing clothes with lines that I don't often try. 

 

Q. Your Instagram feed shows a special affection for fashion. I was surprised to learn that you graduated in fashion design. What does fashion and music mean to you, Mirani?

A. Fashion and music seem to have a lot in common. That's why I love both. It's important to find what suits me well. So, as I explore both fields, it's so interesting to see that eventually, they become a part of me. My music and fashion are just me. 

 

Q. Mirani, your stage name, is said to be inspired by 'Detective Conan.' Do you still enjoy manga? What are your recent interests?

A. I still enjoy animation and watch it often. I don't watch Conan these days, though. Nowadays, I'm very interested in 'well-being.' I'm looking for ways to live healthily and enjoyably. So, last week, I ran along the Han River instead of using a treadmill. It was completely different and refreshing.

 

Q. Does musical inspiration often stem from your interests? If there's something that influences you the most when working on a song, what is it?

A. I get a lot of inspiration. Thoughts change depending on what I'm interested in. So these days, I don't listen to much intense electronic music. I often listen to relaxed and calm songs. Eventually, these things come together and influence my music.

 

Q. As an artist, how much of Mirani do you think has been shown to the world?

A. 10%! There's still so much I want to show.

 

Q. Among the many released songs, which song do you cherish the most and why?

A. 'Daisy.' I wrote the lyrics, but I still think they're well-written. I've heard many stories from people saying this song gave them strength. As a songwriter, could there be a better compliment? I'm always grateful whenever I hear such words. Daisy is a song that gives me and those who listen to it a touching feeling, so I cherish it a lot. 

 

Q. Who are the people who love Mirani?

A. Warm people. Whenever I read messages or receive support from those who love me, I always wonder how they can be so warm. That's why I always want to repay them with good music. It's the reason why I want to become more humble and work harder.

 

Q. Please say a word to the people who love you.

A. Thanks to all of you, I want to make good music and become a good person. You are my driving force. I'm embarrassed, but I'm so grateful. And I love you.

 

Q. What are you thinking about the most these days?

A. My biggest concern is about what kind of album to make. I'm working on an album, and it's still challenging.

 

Q. How do you usually overcome stress?

A. I meet my closest friends. They are friends from middle school, and it's so much fun just being with them. They are my treasures.

 

Q. Do you have any plans for the upcoming summer? What kind of summer do you plan to have?

A. I don't have any vacation plans, but I have an album project, so I think I'll be very busy. I hope it will be a hot summer.

 

Q. Lastly, as Kim Yoon-jin, not as Mirani, is there a belief you want to uphold till the end?

A. I want to always be a person who is proud of myself. To live well without excuses and without regrets for the choices I make! It's the most difficult, but it's my belief that I want to keep.
